In the East coast, there is Mega Malls which is similar to flea markets in the west coast but they are indoors as oppose to the outdoors style market in the west coast. Also all of the clothes are new and not used like in the West Coast and you do not have to pay an admission fee to go on. In the West Coast, some of the flea markets open every day, some only on weekends, and others once a month. The once a month ones usually are have free admission. Flea markets are worth a look, even if you do not like it, it is good to know what they are like.

My little grand-daughter loves welly boots. Everything has to be pink! When these were spotted, Nanny suddenly became popular to walk around the store with. When I noticed the price of only £4, I became an instant fan of the boots too!

Therefore, I performed a little research…actually a lot…groan!
I knew that obviously they were rubber. I have mentioned under the technical terms, what type of rubber is used in boot manufacturing.
But ‘other materials’ can also mean Polyvinyl chloride, known by its common letters, PVC. This material is used extensively because it is cheap and durable. Manufacturers use plasticizers to the PVC during manufacturing so that they can be made softer and more flexible. Many of this type of footwear are made by combining both materials in their production process.

But, what is important is that the boot is a very flexible, soft and comfortable material; perfect for little feet and legs.
The boots come around three inches below my grand-daughter’s knee. This means that when she’s not splashing in puddles, the park swings present no problem as her little legs are not restricted.

The boots are very easy to clean. I generally use warm soapy water and a soft sponge to clean the outer layer. If the inner lining becomes marked, this presents no problems because this can also be cleaned by the same method. To avoid odours or dampness, I thoroughly dry the inner layer with a towel.

The boots come in sizes from 12 months to six years. But I do find that probably due to the price and design, these particular boots sell out quickly.
